Divorce

Divorce

It is not an obsession.

I wanted to draw my parents. I wanted to draw the couples I found crumbled printed on polaroid. Photos now placed in old shoe boxes in lost corners of antique stores.

To give them a home on a canvas, yet to call the series “divorce.”

I’ve drawn my parents, the together parents, the once together
parents, twice.

Like a haystack drawn repeatedly, seasonally, I place the pair on a page and force them to

Remain

Divorced.
